A Pre-Reading Webquest for Elie Wiesel's "Night"
You will begin to read the novel "Night" by Elie Wiesel. In preparation for this reading, it is very important that you understand the necessary background information on the Holocaust in order to fully grasp and appreciate the horror of Mr. Wiesel's experience as a prisoner of Auschwitz. In reading the novel, you will be guided by the author through the horrific "never-ending" night that was the Holocaust. With this account, Elie Wiesel "bears witness" with the aim of preventing the further discrimination and genocide of innocent people. He wrote the novel so that the world would never forget.
